CECILE REBECCA RICHARD THOMPSON   1936-2014
Cecile died on Monday, July 14, 2014.  She was born November 19, 1936, daughter of Albert and Julia (Bucknam) Richard and grew up and attended school in Columbia Falls.  Cecile was a direct descendent of Columbia Falls' earliest settlers and founders Mary (Wilson) and John Bucknam.  She is survived by her two children, Rebecca Reardon and David Thompson, her grandson Alex Reardon and several cousins.  Her obituary in the Portland Press Herald speaks of her adventurous and compassionate spirit.  Condolences may be expressed at FuneralAternatives.net, and donations in Cecile's memory may be made to the Columbia Falls United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 72, Columbia Falls, Maine 04623.  This church was her family church.

I grew up with Cecile and I would just add this note, Hail and farewell until we meet again to my dear cousin Cecile, friend and companion of my youth, may the flight of angels sing you to your rest.

JUDY DORR EMERSON

JUNE 3, 1942 – APRIL 14, 2014

So very sorry to say good bye to Judy Emerson.  She passed away Monday afternoon and will be sadly missed by many.  Who will take all of those fabulous pictures out and about now that Judy is gone?

I just received a call from her niece.  She asked me to let you all know that Judy will be cremated and there will be a graveside service in Jonesport sometime this summer.  There will be a posting of this date and time when it has been determined.

Judy’s niece did share a final story with me that so sounds like her.  Her niece told me that Judy was waiting for Frank Jr. to get back to the hospital when she asked what was taking so long.  Her niece asked her, “Why, is it time for you to go?”  Judy replied with, “How do I know, I’ve never done this before!”  I can hear that gravelly voice of her’s saying that.

Rest peacefully Judy.  I will always treasure the fabulous pictures you took of my harvester men last blueberry season.  We will hold your spot in the post office and will think of you as the flowers bloom into the beauty you so often found in them.  Until we meet again…
